Transform unfinished, decorative, wooden eggs into beautiful accents for your home with decoupage. This is a fun and easy craft that that your kids will love.
Decoupaged Eggs
Start with unfinished wooden eggs. I used glossy lustre Mod Podge for this project. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge, let it dry, then apply 1-2 more layers.
If you use a thick paper, wet it down in water to soften.
I used medim weight tissue paper torn into small pieces for wrapping the eggs.
Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge, then apply small pieces of tissue paper.
I applied 2 layers of Mod Podge after I finished wrapping the egg.
Tips: when covering wooden eggs. Tear the tissue paper into small pieces to wrap around the egg. I found that medium weight tissue paper works best. Light weight paper will work but, it tends to tear very easily.
