Endless Summer Craft Storage Container

Decoupage an unfinished metal bucket into a colorful storage container for your craft supplies, pens, paper clips, seed packets etc. This is a fun, easy and inexpensive craft that that you and your kids will love.

Start with a primed metal bucket. Prime with spray paint if needed.
I used glossy lustre Mod Podge for this project. This is a good use for old magazines. If you use a thick paper, wet it down in water to soften.
Tip: If you're metal bucket isn't primed you'll need to coat it with spray paint. Mod Podge won't stick to bare tin or metal.
Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge, then apply small sections of magazine or craft paper.
Decoupaged the entire bucket, inside and out, letting the paper hang over the bottom of the bucket. Use a utility knife to cut off the ragged pieces on the bottom. Add another layer of Mod Podge when done.
